This morning, the actual images of the upcoming BYD Han have surfaced online through the company’s official WeChat account, indicating that the company is preparing to launch its new flagship sedan in the near future.

Positioned as BYD’s first D-segment luxury sedan under the Dynasty lineup, the Han has following dimensions: 5,256 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height, while offering a generous 3,130 mm wheelbase. The large dimensions highlight its premium positioning and place it among the biggest executive sedans in its class.

As per the information published by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the new Han will be available in both pure electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. The all-electric lineup includes a single-motor model producing 370 kW and a more powerful dual-motor configuration that combines a 200 kW front motor with a 370 kW rear motor.

Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid variant pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor capable of delivering up to 200 kW, providing a balance between performance and efficiency.

Battery specifications also reveal impressive capabilities. The pure electric version is equipped with a large 102 kWh battery pack, while the plug-in hybrid model carries a substantial 54 kWh battery. These battery sizes are among the largest in their respective categories and are expected to deliver excellent driving range along with improved long-distance usability.
